01 Jun Multi-Active Peptide Matrixyl Serum 25% Customer Review
I want to thank Becky K for writing the following review on the Multi-Active Peptide Matrixyl Serum 25%. I think Becky did an excellent job describing it. I timed it, and it takes three minutes for it to soak in. Thank you Becky!
“Every night before I go to bed, I place important objects on my night stand: a glass of water, my Kindle, and now, my bottle of NCN Multi-Active Peptide Matrixyl Serum 25%.
It’s typically the last step in my nightly skin care routine since I was given the opportunity to test it out. And good thing: I’m definitely noticing more refreshed skin when I wake up! That’s exactly the result I was hoping for.
Let’s back up a bit:
I am 49 years old, and I have been a fan of NCN Skincare for the past few years, since trying GHK-Cu Copper Peptide with EGF Formula I. Since then I have added the NCN All Trans Retinol Cream 2.0% and Vitamin C+ Serum with Vit. E, Ferulic Acid & Glutathione. All this to say I already had a regime for my skin. I added Multi-Active Peptide Matrixyl Serum 25% as the last step every morning and evening, only occasionally adding a night cream on top.
What inspired me to try this heavy-hitting Matrixyl product now was seeing forehead lines for the first time – perhaps they’d been brewing for a while or perhaps recent stress “inspired” their appearance. My first hope was to halt these lines in their tracks; softening my crow’s feet came second, and lightening old blemish and sunspot marks was third.
As instructed, I applied the Multi-Active Peptide Matrixyl Serum 25% twice a day to my face and neck after the Vitamin C (in the morning) and after the copper peptide and retinol in the evening. I waited at least 5 min in between each product, usually more if my schedule allowed. It was easy to dispense the right amount. The Multi-Active Peptide Matrixyl Serum 25% has a very slight astringent smell, absorbs quickly but remains a bit tacky for awhile. I was surprised that it was also moisturizing enough to go without additional night cream on top most nights.
Previously, I didn’t know much about Matrixyl and the other peptides that make up the formula here (Matrixyl Synthe’6, and Matrixyl 3000. Interestingly, they share a brand name “Matrixyl” but are actually distinct peptide formulas – though all essentially work to trick the skin into thinking the collagen has broken down so that is kick starts the production of more. Ideally this results in plumper skin tone, decreased wrinkle depth, lightened skin marks, improve under eye circles, and a host of other benefits. For me, I definitely see improvements in how toned my face looks along with some filling in of my crow’s feet – I’ve never seen any eye cream make as much of an impact here. I think my spots are a bit lighter but I know from experience these can take months to recede. As for those forehead lines? While they aren’t that significant to begin with, I think I’ll need more time with this product to additional impact (which is common when making a change in skin care).
All in all, I am very happy with Multi-Active Peptide Matrixyl Serum 25%! And particularly impressed with the generous amount (2.5 oz.) contained in the bottle. Most high end skin care products contain less than half of that.”
