27 Apr Skin Care Routine At Night In Detail Spring 2018 NCN
My skin care routine at night in detail is something I’ve been wanting to write about for a while now. It’s a ritual that I enjoy doing, and I take my sweet time. In the morning, it’s not the same as I’m not puttering around with time on my hands. But my skin care routine at night is a different story. I want to point out that it is not necessary to take as long as I do with my skin care routine at night. It doesn’t make the products work better, I just enjoy the ritual.
During the process, I wash my hands before each step below. So I end up washing my hands several times since I’m not applying my products one after the other. During the day, I wait two minutes between application of my products, with the exception of I’m Covered Physical Sunscreen SPF32, I wait five minutes after applying it to do my makeup.
Step 1: After washing my hands, I cleanse my skin. I switch cleansers depending on my mood basically. I love the Rhassoul Cleansing Bar, Multi-Acid Cleansing Gel and the Rinseable Cleansing Oil. All of them remove makeup and sunscreen very well.
Step 2: I swipe my skin with Exfoliate. Exfoliate deep cleans and removes any dead skin cells left on my skin after cleansing as well as removing residue from my hard water. I won’t ever skip this step in my skin care routnie. Exfoliate is a very special non-drying leave on acid-free exfoliator that calms my skin and prepares it for my nighttime products. At this point, I do something else, like feed my cats, and start to make something to eat for myself. About 1/2 an hour later, I move on to Step 3.
Step 3: I apply NCN Eye Fix to my entire orbital eye area. I don’t pat it into my skin, I just let it soak in. I added Eye Fix to my skin care routine about four months. I formulated it for under eye bags, dark under eye circles and lines/wrinkles around the eye area. Up until I started using it, I just used my other products around my eye area. I started using it because of your feedback on how well it firms up not only the skin under your eyes, but eyelids as well. I can attest that this works! I wait another 1/2 hour or so before I proceed to Step 4. I usually eat my dinner now.
Step 4: It’s about 8:00 p.m. and that’s my watch a movie time. Three to four times a week, I apply GHK-Cu Copper Peptide Amino Complex Formula II. I massage about 1/2 of a pump and spread it over my entire face (avoiding the orbital eye are) and down to my neck. It takes a very small amount as the spreadability of it is incredible. On the other nights that I’m not using GHK-Cu, I’ve been using my Multi-Active Peptide Matrixyl Serum 25%. I massage it into my skin, including my entire eye area. I wait 45 minutes to an hour.
Step 5: Now I’m ready to massage All-Trans Retinol 2.0% Formula I into my skin. I include my entire eye area, as well as my neck. Now, I really should be using my products on my decollete, but I don’t always practice what I preach. And it shows… my neck looks older than my face does. That’s why I uploaded the picture of myself on this article, so you can see my neck. I wait another 45 minutes to one hour.
Step 6: I massage my All-In-One Anti-Aging Cream into my skin, including my eye area and neck. If I feel like using All-In-One during the day, I will use my new Phyto-Biotics Blueberry & Oat Skin Quench at night instead (coming in May 2018). So I do rotate products in my skin care routine at night.
I want to mention again that there is no need to take so much time for your skin care routine at night. Waiting at least two minutes between applications of products (unless otherwise noted in our “How To Use” tab) is sufficient. But I truly enjoy taking my time and spreading it out throughout the evening.
