My Top 10 Beauty Tips For Better Skin

My top 10 beauty tips for better skin don’t include what we already Top 10 Beauty Tipsknow; drink more water, exercise regularly, eat skin healthy foods, and get 8 hours of sleep every night.   Of course, we need to do all of them; but I’m hoping you find something new in my personal favorites that I’ve used over the years.

My Top 10 Beauty Tips:

Avoid touching your face.  This one took me some time to get used to, but it’s a biggie!  You’ve cleansed your skin and applied your skin care products; touching your face with anything other than impeccably clean hands transfers bacteria and grime to your skin.

Clean your cell phone (or any phone) daily.

If you wear eyeglasses, be sure to clean the nose pads and bridge that goes over your nose every day.

Use a physical SPF every day, it truly delays aging.  UV rays go through computer screens, windows, and some overhead lighting.  You will “save face”!

Do not look at your skin in a magnifying mirror.  Nobody sees you that way and you shouldn’t either!

When applying products, apply any excess to the back of your hands.

Turn your night skin care routine into a ritual.  I keep my skin care products that I use at night on my night stand next to my bed.  That way, I’m not in a hurry to apply them.  I’ll wait 30 minutes to 1 hour between applications of the products I’m using.

Have a clean pillow case ready just in case you went to bed without cleansing your skin the night before.

Don’t over exfoliate.  Exfoliation is very important, but over exfoliating is detrimental to your skin.  I love the Microfiber Cleansing Cloth.   It really makes your anti-aging products penetrate better, and in turn they will work their hardest for you.  Your pores will stay cleaned out like never before, which will keep them from enlarging.  Keeping our skin exfoliated in this way encourages new cells to produce at a rate they did when we were in our 20’s.  It also stimulates collagen production and keeps your skin as smooth as silk.

Once a week, or at least every other week, after cleansing your skin at night, leave it at that, and don’t put anything else on.
