Rhassoul clay is exceptionally high quality clay from ancient deposits unearthed from the fertile Atlas Mountains of Morocco, where it has been used for over 1400 years as a skin conditioner, soap and shampoo. This clay has a long history, and was used in ancient Rome and Egypt by those of nobility (it's Egypt's beauty secret). Rhassoul clay is very high in minerals — as it contains higher percentages of silica and magnesium plus potassium and calcium than any other clay — making it much more effective for skin care.

In addition to this and due to its greater smectic qualities (i.e. its ability to swell with the addition of water), Rhassoul achieves better results in the treatment of skin than other clays. Rhassoul clay's most impressive properties in skin improvement are its capacity for absorption and adsorption; due to its high level of ion exchange. About Rice Bran Oil: Rice bran oil, extracted from the bran or outer coat of the brown rice grain (removed during the milling process), is rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins and essential oils. Rice bran oil also has constituents believed to hinder UV-ray absorption at the skin's surface. This oil has a high percentage of fatty acids and is one of the best sources of tocotrienols (an antioxidant that may be much more powerful and effective than Vitamin E). It's a mild oil that's perfect for all skin types - dry/flaky, sensitive, acenic, mature and/or delicate skin (e.g. baby) — where additional moisturization is required and is effective for keeping skin smooth. Rice bran oil also contains a compound called gamma-oryzanol. This component can impede the progress of melanin pigmentation by restoring the erythema activity of the tyrosinase enzyme as it intercepts the UV rays at the skin's surface (hindering UV ray transmission). RECENT FEEDBACK

I received this, yesterday. First, I love how it's truly unscented.  Second, it's not drying at all.  To be honest, it's less drying than ANY cleanser I've used.  Lastly, my rosacea is tolerating it VERY well.  I was diagnosed with rosacea over 10 years ago, and have never been able to find a cleanser that my skin tolerates.  Of course, that's taken a huge toll in my self-esteem.  Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for this miracle.
